Fall Baking

Fall baking is where the magic happens. The air turns crisp and suddenly the oven is on every afternoon. Cinnamon. Brown butter. Maple. Pecans. The whole kitchen smells like a candle you want to bottle.

This is my everything-else fall baking collection. The recipes that do not anchor to apple or pumpkin but still taste like the season. Maple cinnamon rolls for lazy Saturday mornings. Old-fashioned butter pecan cake that gets passed around every potluck. Cranberry orange muffins bright enough to cut through a gray November day. Brown butter toffee cookies that make the whole tray disappear.

These are the fall baking recipes I tuck between the pumpkin bread and the apple crisp. Small-batch but mighty. Simple enough for a Tuesday, special enough for Thanksgiving weekend. Preheat the oven and pick one.
