How to Make Instant Pot Ravioli Lasagna
The Instant Pot makes dinners so simple but traditional lasagna takes so long to make from start to finish.
This delicious version of Instant Pot Lazy Lasagna is with just a few ingredients and pressure cooked for just 4 minutes.
Traditionally, the meat would need to be cooked and added to the sauce for the lasagna, and then cheese would need to be prepared along with the lasagna noodles.
In the Instant Pot, it’s not that complicated!
The first step is to brown the beef and the Italian sausage.
TIP: To reduce draining the meat, use lean cuts of ground beef.
Next, the seasonings are added and stirred into the meat mixture and then 1 cup of water is added to the liner.
It’s important to scrape the bottom of the inner liner to remove any stuck on bits. This will reduce the change of getting a burn notice on your Instant Pot… and no one wants that.
The next step is to add the frozen cheese ravioli evenly inside of the pot.
The pasta sauce is then added on top of the frozen ravioli. It is important to not stir at this point. Simply layer the ingredients and close the lid.
To make this Instant Pot Lasagna ravioli, close the lid and vent, and set the Instant Pot to MANUAL/PRESSURE COOK for 4 minutes.
Once the 4 minutes is up, carefully and intermittently release pressure making sure to avoid the face. This also prevents large spurts of steam and water from coming from the valve.
Once the pressure has released, carefully remove the lid, and stir the ingredients. Set the pressure cooker to sauté and add the ricotta, mozzarella, and Parmesan cheese.
Once it is time to serve, garnish this Instant Pot Lazy lasagna with either basil or parsley to give it a finished look.

- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 lb Mild Italian sausage
- 24 oz pasta sauce, of preference
- 2 tsp garlic salt
- 1 tbsp Italian seasoning
- 24 oz frozen cheese ravioli
- 1 cup of water
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 1 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese
- 3/4 cup Parmesan Cheese
- Set the Instant Pot to SAUTE and add the ground beef and Italian sausage.
- Crumble the meat and remove the grease if necessary.
- Add the Italian seasoning and garlic salt.
- Add the water to the pot and scrape the bottom to remove any stuck-on bits.
- Layer the frozen cheese ravioli.
- Pour in the pasta sauce covering all of the ravioli.
- DO NOT STIR!
- Close the lid and vent, set the Instant Pot to MANUAL/PRESSURE COOK for 4 minutes.
- Once the time is up, carefully and slowly release the pressure from the pot. Make sure to keep away from faces.
- Open the lid once all pressure is released and carefully stir to combine.
- Add in the ricotta cheese, mozzarella cheese, and Parmesean.
- Garnish with basil or parsley.
