What Apples Do You Use to Make an Apple Crisp?
Granny Smith's are always a great choice because of the tartness in the apples but Golden Delicious and Honey Crisp are also great apple varieties to use in baking. These types of apples don't break down while baking and don't become mushy.
Do You Peel The Apples for an Apple Crisp?
Whether you peel or don't peel your apples for apple crisp is up to you. Peeling the apples will result in a more tender chew versus leaving the peel on the apple. The peel left on will add more texture to the apple crisp.
