Making Chewy Chocolate Chip Chunk Cookies
Making these cookies is incredibly easy, and they don’t take a lot of ingredients! This recipe uses very common ingredients such as unsalted butter, eggs, brown sugar, baking soda, baking powder, all-purpose flour, and salt.
The most important and common ingredient is the addition of Karo® Corn Syrup. It’s what makes these cookies super chewy!
I use a mixture of semi-sweet chocolate chips and milk chocolate chunks to give different flavors and textures of chocolate.
The chocolate gives give a semi-sweet flavor and the chocolate chunks give a crunch into every bite. The end result is a tender, chewy, and chocolatey cookie.

Chilling the Dough
Chilling your cookie dough before baking these cookies ensures that the cookies don’t spread too much and become very flat. Chilling them in the refrigerator allows them to keep their shape during baking.
Once you’re ready to bake the cookies, take the dough out of the refrigerator. roll it into 1 inch balls, and place them onto a lightly greased cookie sheet or on silicone mats on top of your cookie sheets.
Place the unused dough back into the refrigerator to keep the dough chilled and ready for the next batch of cookies!
After the cookies are done baking, allow the cookies to cool on the cookie sheet for about 5 minutes before moving them to a wire rack to cool completely. Top with additional chocolate chips and chunks if desired!
