How to Make Maple Brown Sugar Cookies
Preheat the oven – Preheat oven to 350° and line the cookie sheets with parchment paper.
Combine the wet ingredients – Mix the softened unsalted butter and the brown sugar with a stand or hand mixer until smooth and creamy. Add in vanilla and egg and mix well.
Mix in maple sugar and mix thoroughly.
Combine the dry ingredients – Combine the salt, baking soda, and all-purpose flour.
Make the cookie dough – Mix the dry ingredients into the wet maple mixture until a soft cookie dough forms.
Roll in sugar – Scoop the cookie dough using a #40 cookie scoop (2 tablespoons) and then roll the cookie dough in the granulated sugar. Place two inches apart on prepared cookie sheets.
Bake – Bake for 7-9 minutes. Let the cookies cool completely before glazing.

- 1/2 cup granulated sugar, (to roll cookies in)
Maple Glaze
- 1/3 cup Maple Syrup, (real)
- 3/4 cup confectioner's sugar
- 1 tablespoon milk

Notes
These cookies can be frozen for up to 3 months. Make sure the glaze ha hardened completely before stacking. Place parchment paper between the cookies with layering to keep the glaze from sticking to other cookies.
