Copycat Pizza Hut Dipping Sauce

This easy-to-make Copycat Pizza Hut Dipping Sauce is great for pizza twists, breadsticks, cheesesticks, and strombolis.

This recipe makes enough easily for 4 servings which is much more than you get in the small tubs of sauce at the restaurant!  There was plenty to go around which made a happy family at dinner time!

Simple to Make Dipping Sauce

I found this recipe online and decided to tweak it based on reviews and suggestions.  I reduced the amount of oregano and added sugar for sweetness.

This recipe is as easy as pouring it all into a saucepan and letting it simmer.  Allowing the sauce to simmer makes the sauce more flavorful, however, it is ready in less than 20 minutes.  It stores nicely in an airtight container in the fridge if there happen to be any leftovers.

Copycat Pizza Hut Dipping Sauce

I like my dipping sauce chunky so this sauce is created a little different than the traditional Pizza Hut dipping sauce.  You can easily use tomato sauce instead of using diced tomatoes as I use in this recipe.

I added sugar to get a bit of sweetness that you find in the restaurant's sauce as well.  I created this recipe to make with my Braided Pepperoni & Ham Stromboli and it went really well together!

My family was excited to see that I made a Pizza Hut style dipping sauce because there was enough to go around! Usually, we don't have near enough for everyone in the family, and this way everyone had an ample amount and was happy.
