Ingredients

all-purpose flour

brown sugar
I use Imperial Sugar

cocoa powder

baking powder

vanilla extract

butter
unsalted

semisweet chocolate chips
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 325°F and line a cookie sheet with silicone mats or grease the sheet lightly.
In a small saucepan, melt together the ½ cup of butter and 1 cup of the chocolate chips.
Remove from heat and set aside.
In a large bowl, beat in the eggs one at a time until blended.
Add in the vanilla and the brown sugar.
Add the melted chocolate and butter to the mixture.
Sift together the cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder.
Combine the dry ingredients with the wet ingredients and stir in the remaining chocolate chips.
Drop by rounded tablespoons onto greased or lined cookie sheet and bake for about 15 minutes. Edges should be firm, don't overbake.
Allow the cookies to cool completely before removing them from the cookie sheet and serving.
