In a skillet, melt the butter on medium-low heat and add the pecans.

Add the pecans

Remove the pecans from the heat.

Set it aside

In a large skillet, melt the remaining butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, water, salt, cinnamon, and vanilla extract.

Make the caramel

Allow the mixture to bubble before adding the pecans.
