These Christmas Sugar Cookie Bars are a fun treat to serve during Christmastime. These soft sugar cookie bars are decorated with Christmas M&M's, white chocolate chips, and semisweet chocolate chips.

1 cup unsalted butter softened room temperature
½ cup granulated sugar
½ cup brown sugar
3 large eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla Extract
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
½ cup Christmas M&Ms reserve ¼ cup
1 cup Chocolate Chips reserve ¼ cup2
½ cup white chocolate chips reserve ¼ cup
¼ cup Christmas sprinkles plus some for decorating

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350℉
Line a 9X13 baking pan with parchment paper. This will make it easy to release the bars from the baking pan.
In a medium-sized bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
Cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar with a handheld mixer or until creamy.
Add in eggs and the vanilla extract and beat until combined.
Slowly stir the dry ingredients into the butter mixture until just incorporated.
Gently stir the M&M's and both kinds of chocolate chips into the cookie dough.
Spread the sugar cookie bar dough into the prepared pan by stretching and pressing the cookie dough to the edges of the pan.
Sprinkle the remaining M&M's and chocolate chips on top of the cookie dough. Gently press the candies down into the top of the cookie dough.
Sprinkle extra Christmas sprinkles onto the dough.
Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the top of the cookie dough is lightly brown.
Cool completely on a wire rack before removing it from the baking pan by lifting it out using the parchment paper.
Once cooled completely, cut into bars.

Notes

The sugar cookie dough can be frozen for up to 3 months.
