– All-purpose flour – Granulated sugar – Baking soda – Salt – Butter – Buttermilk

INGREDIENTS

Preheat the oven to 375°. Grease a baking sheet or line it with parchment paper.

Combine the 1 cup of buttermilk, sugar, egg, and ½ cup of the softened butter.

Mix the wet ingredients and sugar

Add in the dry ingredients. Combine well using your hands and transfer it to the baking sheet.

Form the dough

Shape into a ball, slice a "x" across the top with a pastry cutter or knife.

Bake in the oven for about 45 minutes or until the bread is cooked through.
