You'll need as much juice out of the lemons as you can. Use fresh lemons for the best flavor.

Bring the two cups of water to a low boil in a medium saucepan and add the 1 cup of granulated sugar.

Water is the base of the lemonade and helps dilute the lemon juice and sugar.
Mixing the Lemonade

Mix the freshly squeezed lemon juice together with the simple syrup and add the cold water.
Serve and enjoy

Upon serving, top the pitcher off with ice and serve with lemon wedges and garnish with mint if desired.
