Ingredients

All purpose flour Baking powder Cloves Nutmeg ground Salt Unsalted butter

Peel the apples and chop them into ½-inch pieces. Preheat the oven to 375ºF.

Directions

Grease and flour a 9" round springform pan. In a large bowl, sift the all-purpose flour, baking powder, salt, cloves, and nutmeg.

Add the pats of butter into the flour and use a pasty cutter or a large fork to cut the butter into the flour mixture.

Mash the butter into the flour until the mixture has small crumbles.
