Many Ways to Use Pico de Gallo

Freshly made pico tastes great with tortilla chips, spooned over sauteed chicken, stuffed inside a cheesy quesadilla such as my Chicken, Bacon, and Cheese Quesadilla, or even mixed into a delicious morning omelet.

Make it Mild or Spicy

How many jalapenos you add is up to you!  By either adding one or two diced jalapenos will make a difference and kick the heat up a notch in this recipe.  Any way you choose to make it... it will be fresh and delicious!

Pico de Gallo

Using simple ingredients this Pico de Gallo is made and ready to eat in less than 10 minutes. Perfect to dip chips in or added as a topping!

Ingredients

  • 4 roma tomatoes
  • 1 red onion, small
  • 1-2 jalapenos
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 bunch cilantro, small
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice, fresh or bottled

Instructions

  1. Dice all ingredients into very small pieces.
  2. Simply mix together the tomatoes, onion, jalapenos and the salt.
  3. Stir in the lime juice, mixing well.
  4. Mix in the diced cilantro and blend well with other ingredients.
  5. Store in airtight container and consume with a day or two.  it tastes best fresh!
